We've been using the homework binders daily to keep track of assignments, practice fluency sheets, and essential classroom information. Each student has their own binder with personalized tags that we printed and laminated to make them durable and special.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was the day we introduced the binders — the students' faces were filled with happiness. Many of them immediately began organizing their binders, proudly showing their classmates how they set theirs up. \r\n\r\nI introduced the parents to the binders and what to expect during Meet the Teacher. They were thankful for the items. The new lap desks have been an absolute hit with my second graders. \r\n\r\nSince then, lap desks have become a daily part of our learning routine. They've given my students the freedom to spread out around the classroom, find comfy spaces, and stay focused in a way that works best for them. During science class, students used their lap desks to jot down facts, draw pictures, and work in pairs—just like little scientists!\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom feels more flexible, fun, and student-centered. These lap desks have helped build independence and excitement about learning, and I can't wait to see how we continue to use them in our upcoming learning. Thank you for all your help in funding this project. My students were so excited to see all the boxes that came in. Today, we unboxed the items and put them away. They were so happy to see the boxes of tissues. With the recent cold weather, many of them are under the weather and were happy to see we now have tissues. They were also very thankful for the warm gloves they put them on right away. They now have warm gloves to use during this cold weather.\r\n\r\nThey also loved the pencils. Some are asking when we will distribute the pencils. I told them we would soon fill our pencil holder with new pencils.\r\n\r\nBut they are most excited about all the new erasers.
