Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The majority of my students are experiencing art, in all it's forms, for the first time in my classroom. I want them to have the best time in hopes that they will continue in the arts.

Ceramics is always the height of engagement!

Cell phones are put down and all the sleepy eyes disappear. They become kids again, and it is such a joy to see their creativity. Sadly, we are always out of glazes and the kids are limited in their design. I want my kids to be proud of their work start to finish and not have to settle on a glaze color because there are no other choices. Please help my students make their ceramics as colorful as their heart desires!
