My Students

The students at my school are full of life and amazement as they interact with the world around them. They are all disabled, and light up the world with their smiles! Each student individually reminds me that there is more joy in life than in the hustle and bustle.

These students have limited connections to the world around them.

They love learning about new places and people! These students eat up the opportunities that are given to them!

My Project

Using these world instruments will incorporate more sensory input into our lessons! The students will not just see a picture of a tabla drum, but hear it too, and be able to play it themselves! They will be able to feel the wood of the digeridoo and feel the vibrations coming off of the tongue drum! This multi-leveled learning will allow these incredible students a connection to the world outside of their disabilities.

They will learn about cultures and music from around the world, deepening their appreciation for their global community.
