Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The preschool and K-2 students who are in the Special Day Classes require robust vocabulary instructions to strengthen their foundational vocabulary skills. They learn through hands-on sensory exploration experience of touching, feeling, manipulating, and playing with real objects, and visual supports.

Our students are resilient, having overcome medical issues, but continue to exhibit delays in communication-related to their disability.

I would be using the vocabulary cards and touch and feel books listed in this project with my students so that they can learn the basic concepts through pictures/visual supports and sensory exploration! Learning happens spontaneously when provided in a multi-sensorial manner!
