When presented with voice-recorded buttons, non-verbal students can now participate, communicate, and make choices by simply pressing a button. In the future, we can use the same buttons to test pre-academic skills. For example, students can identify colors, numbers, shapes, or letters by touching the correct button. Students also enjoy painting. Providing a variety of colors makes each lesson fun and engaging. \r\n\r\nAnother way to help students is by using the printer to create color or black-white worksheets. Students are motivated to color, cut, or construct with worksheets that reflect meaningful information. The printer and the laminate pouches are a great way to create and preserve valuable memories. This year, we were able to print and laminate keepsake items, the Mother's Day project, special holiday crafts, Holiday event pictures, and their preschool certificates. These journals offer the girls a dedicated space to relax, reflect, and express themselves creatively. Whether they choose to engage with the calming coloring pages or focus on the empowering mantras provided, the journals have become a cherished tool for mindfulness and personal growth. They encourage the girls to take a moment for themselves, and pay attention to their self-awareness and inner peace. Some teachers have already expressed noticing a boost in confidence among several girls, highlighting the positive impact these reflective practices are having beyond the club meetings.\r\n\r\nThe posters we received have also had a significant impact, particularly through their use with our affirmation mirror. I decorated a floor mirror with affirmation posters and at the end of each meeting, the girls gather to select a positive phrase from the mirror. Beyond this, the posters have sparked creativity, inspiring the girls to design their own empowering visuals during Women's History Month and for our school open house. The chair pockets keep everything organized.\r\n\r\nThe plastic envelopes stored in their chair pockets are used for word work routines. Each week, these envelopes hold their word work cards, which focus on a specific spelling pattern. On Day 1, students color the word cards and pictures. Day 2 involves an open sort, where students categorize the words. On Day 3 students complete a closed sort. \r\n\r\nWhen the students saw their new materials, their eyes widened with excitement and a big smile spread across their faces.
