Help me give my students the gift of hearing! We need headsets for my students to be able to maximize their online learning time instead of being a room buzzing with noise!
I have a wonderful group of third graders who are excited about learning! They come from a large variety of backgrounds, including Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Somalia, and also many of which have come from refugee camps, or have parents who are immigrants.
Many of my students struggle in school because English is their second language.
However, regardless of their language and/or backgrounds, my students are eager to learn about the world around them.
My students love science, listening to stories, exploring nature, our class pet, Spike, the bearded dragon, and especially love our online learning programs.
My Project
These headsets will significantly impact my students' ability to maximize their online learning time. We've asked for 25 regular headsets and 5 headsets with microphones. The set of 25 will be used during our online work session where students are given a chance to work on materials on ST Math, Imagine Learning, or other online learning tools to work at their own individualized level. This is a powerful time for my students because the curriculum is specific to their needs and level.
These headsets are especially crucial to this work time because we have many students whose second language is English and they cannot clearly hear their computer because of the noise from the other computers.
These headsets are pivotal in ensuring they hear their additional individualized lessons instead of being in a room with multiple computers playing at once and struggling to hear what is being read to them or hear their focus word pattern.
