This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a class of wonderful 3rd graders. Interestingly enough, at the beginning of the year, I asked each of my students what their favorite book was and not many could name one. My goal is to make each of my students leave third grade with a love for reading. To do this, I would like to add the books from the Kindness Compassion Paperback Library to our classroom library for them to enjoy. Additionally, I believe that providing them with flexible seating such as the floor seats

am asking for, will give them some personal space while enabling them to get lost in a book.

This option will not only get them to read more but to also enjoy reading. Please help me accomplish my goal. Thank you!
