Girls With Gears!

Help me give my students STEM resources to help them grow and learn! Our Girls with Gears club will use the 3D pens to create 3D models and they will get an entry to robotics using the bristlebots!

My Project

In our Media Center, we want to provide opportunities to grow and learn to all our students so we are hosting a STEAM club for girls learn more about careers in STEM and good problem-solving skills. Learning the design process and developing critical thinking skills are important for any career and we hope to encourage our girls to pursue more STEM activities and possibly a career in science or mathematics. The 3D pens will allow our girls to build models based on 2D designs and allow them to think outside the box. The bristle bots will be used to introduce the design process, problem solving, and introductions to robotics.

Our students are brilliant and we want to encourage our female students to step outside their comfort zone and explore STEM concepts.

We plan to use these materials as well as some problem-based-learning activities to encourage our students to develop new skills.
