This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Exploring with recycled materials is crucial for girls as it fosters creativity, resourcefulness, and environmental stewardship. By using materials that would otherwise contribute to waste, girls learn the importance of sustainability and the value of repurposing items in innovative ways.

Such exploration can spark interest in STEM fields by blending science and creativity, as they consider the properties and potential of different materials.

Moreover, this form of exploration can nurture problem-solving skills and a hands-on understanding of the concepts of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Engaging with recycled materials also instills a sense of responsibility towards the planet and empowers girls to be active participants in creating a more sustainable future.
