My Students

I teach an amazing group of students in an urban school. We are focused on improving their literacy, math, and social and emotional skills. It's a wonderful school that is brightly colored and full of student artwork hanging in all of the hallways.

I teach students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

My students love coming to school and enjoy learning. They are smart, caring, inquisitive and thoughtful. Sometimes school can be challenging for my students. I know that they benefit greatly from a little extra support.

My Project

GIMKIT is an online classroom game-show platform where students compete by answering questions on their electronic devices. Instead of earning points, students earn virtual currency, which they can "invest" during the game to boost their score.

Students will be engaged when answering academic questions.

Remote and hybrid learning is tiring for many students. I want to engage them with a fun way to learn that holds their attention. Through Gimkit, I can introduce or review learning concepts for students. Lessons can focus on sight words, reading comprehension, grammar or any other curriculum topic. It is designed to have bright colors, fun music and feel like a game.
