This year, there are about 2000 students in my school. About half of those students take world languages. These students range from beginners to Heritage Speakers. Nowadays learning includes technology that allows students to access places where the language that they are learning is spoken. Technology also provides tools that make the learning easier. Our school is trying to provide technology to all students to help them get ready for the challenges of the future. My students are eager to become bilingual by the end of high school.
My Project
The iPad will be used every day in the classroom as an easy way to connect with the web. Students will be able to surf the web and find authentic resources like videos and music from various Spanish speaking countries.
Using this technology brings the language class into the 21st century.
This iPad will also be used to enhance lessons by incorporating audio and visual components to presentations. It will also help provide feedback to students after they submit assignments. For example, we will be able to record presentations and review them later to help students achieve mastery in their skills.
