My students need Tiggly Words School Edition and Tiggly Math School Edition.

I teach at a Title I school where my amazing students are energetic, optimistic, full of life, and ready to see just how high they can reach! In addition to 100% of our students receiving free lunch, the children face material hardships quite often. Despite these hardships, our classroom remains a place of love, positivity, and encouragement. We work hard every day to instill a love of life and learning!
My students are always excited and extremely creative!
I love finding new ways to make learning exactly what it should be...FUN!
Tiggly's website puts it perfectly.
"In Kindergarten, kids need to be able to feel and experience their learning environment."This is exactly what they'll be able to do with Tiggly. Tiggly is a set of letters, numbers and symbols that are used with an iPad. This is an innovative form of technology as the students aren't just seeing letters, numbers and symbols on the iPad screen, but they are actually feeling them and putting them the manipulatives there themselves! Tiggly is very engaging and hands-on as the students move the physical pieces around the ipad to complete reading and math activities. This works for ALL of my students. The ones who learn best by touching, those who learn best by hearing and the ones who learn best by seeing, all benefit from Tiggly.
I recently learned about Tiggly while I was looking for new ways to supplement instruction and connect what my students already know with what they need to learn. Most, if not all, of my students come into kindergarten knowing how to use an iPad. Why not harness that knowledge and connect it with a wonderful tool like Tiggly to teach their letters, phonics, numbers and math concepts? The best part of it all is that Tiggly is not just some new technological toy. Tiggly is 100% backed by research! On the Tiggly website you'll find several different research studies. One showed that kindergartners who played with Tiggly math improved in their early number skills 71% more than children who played with apps without Tiggly math manipulatives. Very impressive!
I'm hoping that having the Tiggly Education Sets in my classroom will increase interest, engagement and learning outcomes when they are used as a supplement to our daily instruction. Most of all, it makes learning fun!
