This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an active bunch. They are energetic and love to wiggle around. They often ask to stand or work on the floor because their standard chair is just too confining and uncomfortable. They like to be able to squirm or move. These flexible seating options give the students the ability to wiggle and get the movement that will activate their brains while working.

Third graders have the urge to move and groove even while they are working.

I have noticed that their best work is when they are moving their bodies not just their pencils.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
