My students are extremely curious and, since it is their first year in an all-day structured program, they transition often from guided instruction to free choice learning. We have learning center time and a state-approved curriculum to keep them on track with other children their age in our state. I tell my students that they are the" Best Kids in Texas" and our motto is "We are all friends."
I teach pre-kindergarten students at a Title I school in Texas, currently recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are English Language Learners and have lots of excitement about school.
My Project
My students recently received a Cricut cutting and design machine and are ready to start thinking about the end of the year shirts.
My students will proudly create their very own graduation design and see it come to life by using the vinyl on the t-shirts requested.
This year I have seen my students and their families overcome many struggles since surviving Hurricane Harvey. We look forward to making new memories such as end of the year activities and Pre-K graduation.
When my students are able to wear a shirt that they can take ownership and be proud of, I know there will be many big smiles and happy hearts.
