Getting Powerful in First!

My students need 8 Power Pens and Power Pen games including addition practice, subtraction practice, reading comprehension, long vowel practice, diagraph practice, and more practice power pen games to engage, inspire, challenge, and assist my students.

My Students

So many of my students come to school with obstacles in front of them before they ever reach my classroom door. I have students coming from low-income households, students whose families face homelessness, and students are considered "at-risk". For many of my students, English is not their first language or the language spoken at home.

While my kids have many obstacles in front of them, they come to school each day excited and ready to learn.

I love starting the day with students that can't wait for the school gate to open and students who come to school everyday with big smiles on their faces.

Each day they soak up more knowledge and try their hardest to succeed. They are highly motivated to learn new things every day. We are halfway through the year and they are starting to take off. I see readers, writers, scientists, and mathematicians emerging. They now know all their letter names, sight words, addition facts, subtraction facts and so much because of their hard work and determination. I am excited to see the places we will go from here!

My Project

Wow! What an amazing resource. The possibilities are just endless and my mind is pouring over all the ways that this resource could be used in my classroom. It can be a struggle to find ways to continue to push advanced students and it can be challenging to always have materials ready for students who finish early as well as students who are struggling.

The beauty of this resource is that all students can have access to both math and ELA content at their level.

With this resource any student can pick up a Power Pen and begin practicing math facts, advanced students can pick up a pen and be inspired to work on their reading comprehension, struggling students can build their math fact fluency. This resource would make such a big impact on my classroom!
