My Students

I recently joined this great community of learners. The students in my classroom are 1st-3rd graders and are working toward independence in their learning. They love to listen to stories, write, and are such a hard working group of kids.

My Project

My students are working on researching a topic of their choice. They will be creating a non-fiction book of their own to share the information with others.

Using Google or asking Alexa are the first things children do when they want to know something.

While this is a good start, I want to show them that books can give them so much of the information they are seeking.

My classroom is in need of books about the research topics my students have chosen. This will help to excited them about books and about both reading and writing.
