This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with a bunch a wonderful kindergarten and 1st-grade children who live in a high poverty/low-income area. They also have some emotional and behavioral needs.
My students love coming to school even on a hard day.
I want to be able to provide them with smiles that way they can learn and grow.
They deserve to be happy and be able to learn in a fun and loving environment. I want them to be able to do whatever they want in life and the only way they can do that is to have what they need to make it.
My Project
The materials I am requesting for my class will be able to help my students be more confident in their reading and writing. My students will also be able to have a box to keep their books in so the books do not get mixed with other books as the students are on different reading levels. The students will be able to sound out sight words and be able to use picture clues to figure out the sentences.
These books will make my students be better readers.
My students will be able to read on their own. These books will take them on an adventure and I want them to enjoy reading. I want them to be able to ask questions and answer questions about the stories they read.
