Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredible! Each brings a different background and a unique perspective to my classroom. I teach 5th grade at a Title 1 school, and at my school the majority of our students come from low-income households.

With this project, I am excited to bring the love of reading and writing into my classroom.

Each of my students will receive a copy of Bee Fearless: Dream Like a Kid. This memoir from lemonade entrepreneur Mikaila Ulmer serves as both an inspirational coming-of-age story as well as a business guide, featuring wonderful advice for both life and business. It will also serve as a mentor text as I teach argumentative text.

With your donation, our students will have the opportunity to dig deeper in their learning as they work with their classmates, and this will help them cultivate a lifelong love for reading and writing!
