Getting Dressed Up for the American Revolution

My students need fun costumes to put on our musical about the American Revolution.

My Students

We are a title one school in a extremely rural part of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. There is very high rate of poverty in the community, but we are blessed to live with nature all around us.

The students love expressing themselves by performing.

We are putting on a fun silly musical about the American Revolution. This is a great way to learn facts about the revolution and have fun at the same time. We look forward to dressing up for the occasion.

My Project

This project will buy costumes for our class' musical. There are several different costumes for the boys and the girls. We will have tricorn hats for all of the male characters. Since the main character is Betsy Ross she is getting a special dress. Having special costumes make the play come to life!

Getting dressed up makes putting on a musical more fun.

We need 26 costumes. Several girls are playing male characters and will love their revolutionary looks. The boy will also have fun in their knee length pants.These costumes aren't just for this year, but will be used for many years to come.
