My Students

My fifth grade students are amazing. They come to school each day with smiles on their faces, warm hearts, and the biggest desire for learning I've ever seen. They do their best each and every day, even when they may not come from the best home environment. The students who attend the school are from homes with little to low income, so when they come to school, they need consistency, love, and learning.

My students enjoy a colorful, engaging classroom setting.

When visual aids are around the room, and they are able to work on interactive bulletin boards, students are engaged and learning.

My Project

Having a Cricut in our classroom will make student innovation come to life. Students will be able to create images on a computer and send them to the Cricut, and then the Cricut can print out on the Astrobrights paper and/or vinyl. I will also be able to use the Cricut to make interactive bulletin boards for the students.

When students are engaged and see fun, bright colors, they are more apt to be successful because the learning is fun for them.

My students and I enjoy bright colors, bulletin boards that change with the season and subject matter, and those changes keep all of us on our toes, always wondering what's coming next.
