This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students are exceptional, preschoolers/elementary students with a wide range of disabilities to include autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorders, chromosome abnormalities, orthopedic impairments, vision impairments, developmental delays, and speech-language delays. Most of our students function on a six month to five year old developmental age. Our students have fine motor skill challenges, as well as sensory issues.
We are always looking for ways to help our students meet their goals and have fun while learning.
My students love to learn and this project getting funded will help them succeed.
My Project
The hands-on activities will build on our students' academic knowledge and keep them happy and safe. These children love learning new things by doing fun activities and we have seen them grow academically with hands-on learning activities such as these. With the bulletin board paper, our students will have a bright and beautiful place to learn in and a place they love to come to. A happy and bright space makes for happy students and teachers. If the students like the environment, they are usually more willing to do the work.
