I teach in a public school Pre-K program and have anywhere between 16 & 18 students in my classroom each year. I serve students who are identified with special needs as well as students who are deemed "at-risk."
I love that my students come to school everyday ready to learn and explore their environment.
Each day provides an opportunity for students to grow and learn in our developmentally-appropriate classroom setting. We focus on developing social skills and helping students prepare for kindergarten.
My Project
Art is an important part of our Pre-K program because it allows students to practice a variety of developmental skills. For this reason, I've requested art supplies for my students to use to express their creativity!
We have an art center that we keep stocked with art materials for students to use to create one-of-a-kind artwork.
This center is open on a daily basis for students to use independently or with teacher support. We use items such as the ones I've requested to allow students to create freely. We allow children to paint and create in order to fully express themselves.
DonorsChoose is the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
As a teacher-founded nonprofit, we're trusted by thousands of teachers and supporters across the country. This classroom request for funding was created by Mrs. Williams and reviewed by the DonorsChoose team.
