I've requested felt story telling kits for books with which my students are familiar. These materials will allow students to expand their language and vocabulary as they practice re-telling popular children's books. I've also requested tactile/sensory letters that will allow my students with special sensory needs to explore letters in a meaningful way as they become more familiar with the alphabet. The materials will be located in my library center in the classroom to allow students to use them during a substantial portion of their day. I can't wait to see the learning that will occur as my students enjoy these new items!
