This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Welcome to my 4th grade classroom! Here you'll find passionate artists, gamers, mini-chefs, dancers, engineers, athletes, mathematicians, and animal lovers. In spite of the the pandemic, these kiddos are persistent and eager to get back to school.

My students are empathetic, caring, and upstanding citizens who want to leave the world a better place than they found it.

They keep up to date with current events, talking about the implications of actions and inactions around us. We are looking forward to getting (sort of) back to normal and making this the best year so far!

My Project

Hello! I've been cleaning and organizing our classroom to make it the most practical, clean, and organized room possible. One addition I would like to make to the classroom are floor chairs.

These BackJacks will give students the comfort they need to work flexibly.

Right now they are using old pillows that do not provide enough support for working on the carpet. Flexible seating is very important in a classroom--it helps students focus by giving them options and ownership over their learning space. That is why I want to bring BackJacks into the classroom. It will give the students a place to read, do computer work, or relax and draw.
