We are a culturally diverse, rural high school. Our students are the pride of our school system. Students compete on all levels from local to national through athletics, FFA, FBLA, and BETA club activities.
We have high expectations for our students; meaning we want them to leave high school fully prepared for whatever they have chosen, whether it be college, vocational, or straight into a career field.
Our Core Beliefs and Mission statement for our school are "My Education My Future."
My Project
New bean bag chairs will make a dynamic difference in our classroom. Students will be able to readily adapt their bodies to their comfort levels in a bean bag chair to engage and focus on instructional lessons. The bean bags will relax their muscles which provide the students with the sensory input they need.
These bean bags will serve a purpose all throughout the classroom, but more in the Book Nook, our corner of the room where students are free to relax and read or work surrounded by books, sitting in comfort.
My students are very high energy and love to move, stand, and sit in unconditional ways to work successfully. We have one bean bag currently, where more work gets done than you could ever imagine. I would love to see our flexible seating grow, so the success of my students may grow as well.
