Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Kindergarten to 26 of the sweetest, most loving, caring, and smartest 5-year-old kids. They love coming to school to learn and to be part of something special. I strive each day to make each day the best ever.
My favorite thing about teaching Kindergarten is that every day is a new day, and they are so full of wonder!
I've taught at the same school for the past years, and it is the same school I attended as a child. Every year I am given the best class and this year is no exception! I call them my Rockstars, and I hope that they know how much I love having them in my class!
My Project
We are starting the last trimester of the year and are out of basic supplies. This project will help us get to the end of the year with all that we need to succeed in Kindergarten. We need pencils, pencil boxes, a new sharpener, glue sticks, paper, rechargeable batteries for our new Hot Dots, baby wipes to clean up and crayons. We will use up all these things except the rechargeable batteries will be able to be used for years to come!
All I need to know I learned in Kindergarten!
Truer words have never been spoken! My kids are doing an awesome job of learning and preparing for their future. I want to be able to give them the basics and provide new materials for them to motivate them to do their very best! They will use the pencil boxes to store their new pencils, crayons, and glue sticks. We will use the new pencil sharpener to sharpen our new pencils as needed. We will use the paper to create art. The baby wipes are used daily to clean our hands and faces after breakfast in the classroom. We need the rechargeable batteries to keep our new devices, Hot Dots, charged and ready to be used daily. We are asking for a smorgasbord of items to help us succeed for the remainder of Kindergarten!
