Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a class full of lively 4 and 5 year olds. We are always on the move and their little hands and feet are always busy. Even though I have a busy group of students, they are some of the sweetest 4 and 5 year olds you will ever meet! I work at a very low income school with more than 80% of students who speak Spanish. Even though my fellow teachers and I experience some of the craziest things when it comes to these kids, I would never trade my school for anything. I work with some of the most caring and giving people you will ever meet.
My Project
In Pre-K we do lots of arts and crafts but without the proper art supplies it gets hard to complete the art projects. We paint at least once a week in Pre-K and we are beginning to run low on paint supplies. We are also in need of crayons and playdough to help build proper fine motor skills.
Painting is not only fun for the students but it also helps build different skills that include; fine motor skills, color recognition, and many more art skills!
Parents love when their child brings home a new cute painting or craft project their child did at school but without the proper supplies we will not be able to do this projects anymore.
