This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I am excited by the prospect of a new school year! The items in this project will go a long way toward providing educational activities for my biology students.
I want my students to experience science in an interactive, fun, and memorable way.
Most of my students would never imagine themselves as scientists. I strive to change their narrative through activities that allow students to DO science!
With these items, we will be able to grow vegetables in the classroom for our class guinea pig, experience osmosis and selective permeability with the iodine and cornstarch, build models of the lungs with straws, cups, and balloons, and have gloves for dissections. We will also be able to replenish our class coffee bar that used as a reward system for the students.
I can't wait to share all of this with my students. Thank you in advance for making this happen!
