Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our kindergarten classroom is full of active, engaging, and hands-on activities. We sing, dance, and play educational games. The children don’t just have to come to school each day they WANT to! They have a love for learning! I believe in each and every one of the children that walk through my classroom. I want the students to have every opportunity to reach their fullest potential. It is our job as teachers to provide opportunities and experiences in the classroom so that learning is enjoyable and relatable. When our students are active and engaged they are more likely to remember what they learned . I teach because I want to help children learn and grow. Seeing a child understand and grasp knowledge brings joy to my life.
My Project
I strive to grow as a teacher through opportunities presented through the district and outside conferences.
Professional development is about lifelong learning and growing.
The Get Your Teach On Conferences are all about student engagement with rigorous content. Student engagement leads to learning and academic achievement. I have attended the Get Your Teach On conferences in the past and have seen growth by incorporating their strategies and techniques in to the classroom. The conference includes research based strategies and best practices to engage and inspire students and teachers throughout all content areas. I have learned tips and tricks to help me grow as well as my students.
