My classroom of 26 students is a part of a school that serves around 95% of its student population with the free and reduced lunch program. Our Title I school is populated with about 1400 students of different cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. My class consists of students who identify themselves as Asian, Black, Latino, Bi-racial and White. My classroom services the students with special needs within a general education classroom.
For many of my students, school is the only place where they have consistency and stability.
My 3rd graders are eager to learn, and they all learn in different ways. It's amazing to watch them grow at their own pace. They each possess different qualities which make them a vital piece to our classroom community!
