In my fifth grade classroom, each and every student is valued for their own special learning style and social-emotional learning skills. Each student is unique as is their learning style. I want to attend Get Your Teach On to help me learn ways to help me reach each one in a way that can make the most out of their abilities.
My class is a wonderfully diverse group of fifth graders who I would love to be able to challenge with the most up-to-date instructional techniques.
The Get Your Teach On Conference is designed to help teachers adjust their instruction to help students who are struggling with emotional problems make the most of their education!
My Project
Our district Is making social-emotional learning a priority. This workshop focuses on students in hopes of gaining a solid understanding to be able to model SEL behaviors. As a teacher, I want my students to acquire personal and social attitudes, behaviors, and skills necessary to lead happy and fulfilling lives. Social-emotional learning is essential to academic learning and growth.
The Get Your Teach on Workshop will teach me current research-based strategies that will ignite my classroom.
The workshop will teach me how to have a successful, engaging, and rigorous classroom. I hope I will leave the workshop feeling empowered, motivated, and prepared to create dynamic lessons that will challenge my students and leave them hungry for more. The workshop will focus on the importance of social-emotional learning. I believe teachers need as much help addressing social-emotional needs as well as their educational needs.
I will be able to take what I learn at the workshop and implemented it in my classroom, and also share the knowledge with my staff. I will share what I have learned by sharing new ideas during faculty meetings throughout the year.
As a teacher you are always looking for ways to continue to implement new ideas into your classroom. My students will benefit greatly from the ideas and new research I obtain from attending the summer workshop. Social-emotional needs are now the biggest hurdle for student to learn. As a teacher I need to reach student and addresses their needs before they can learn. I believe The Get Your Teach On Workshop will give me the tools to enhance learning in my classroom.
