Your thoughtful contributions will have a significant and lasting impact on our students and the work that I do as the school counselor. On behalf of our students and entire school community, we thank you for your kindness and support.\r\n\r\nMany of the children we work with face challenges managing their emotions and regulating their behaviors, which end up affecting their academic aspirations. For these students, finding effective and accessible tools to help them cope and self-soothe is vital. Your donations provide exactly what they need to succeed. The fidget toys and weighted blanket and stuffed animal are already being used regularly, helping students to channel their energy in healthy ways, reduce anxiety, and regain focus during class or school counselor meetings. Many students who had previously struggled to engage or participate are now able to center themselves, making the classroom environment calmer and more conducive to learning.\r\n\r\nThe emotional regulation tools you donated are invaluable resources that allow me to provide targeted interventions to students. Through interactive learning and engaging materials, we are teaching children how to recognize and label their emotions, use mindfulness strategies, and develop coping mechanisms. These lessons are not only beneficial for those facing specific emotional challenges but also help all students improve their social-emotional skills.
