My Students

I work in a rural school with over 80% of students getting free or reduced lunches. We have many migrant student that come in the fall while their parents work in the orchards nearby. Many of my students live with grandparents or single parents.

I teach art to the whole school - from Preschoolers to 8th graders.

The students are hard workers, creative and excited to come to art.

Have you ever used blacklights? they make everything look magical. We want to have a blacklight art show where all the art in the show is neon!!

My Project

Help us have a magical night under the sea, with glow in the dark fish, starfish, seahorses, octopus and other mythical creatures. All cut and painted and glued with neon paper, neon glue and other art supplies. Each grade will make a different sea creature and use a different medium to make their projects. Some will use paper, some will make sculptures and others will use paint. We hope to have it up and displayed for parent - teacher conferences and our music program, in the spring. Thank you for your support.
