My Students

My students are curious learners! They love to get up and move and be interactive in the classroom, but sometimes that is not always an option.

All of my classes are full of interactive, hands-on learners!

We are all special and unique in our own ways. We all come into class with different abilities and talents. It is so rewarding to be able to find those talents in each one and help them all reach their fullest potential!

Being able to move around even if it's just their feet and choose different options can really increase student engagement and focus in a classroom.

I want my students to be comfortable and attentive at the same time. These bands will be used throughout the classroom in different centers to allow for student regulation when they get those wiggles.

My Project

Everyone wants to be comfortable! It is the same in a middle school classroom.

While some students learn the best sitting still, not all do.

Some need various types of seating to learn best. Middle schoolers tend to have lots of wiggles when sitting for multiple class periods. They need seating options that will help them be more comfortable. Students will be able to use these bands as an alternative to getting up and missing some of the material due to trying to refocus. They are able to refocus on their own and this tool can help teach them to self regulate.

Students will use these bands to help get some of their wiggles out and fidget without getting up and moving around the room.
