My Students

My students are inquisitive, outgoing, and determined. These kids never fail to entertain me with their great sense of humor. On top of that, they're also readers!

This year, we have worked on finding the right book for each student, trying new things, and increasing the amount that we read!

My kiddos are looking for new, exciting, and thrilling books to keep them engaged!

My students read and they enjoy reading. Most of them have read more this year than ever before. They are risk-takers who want to learn!

My Project

Unfortunately, some kids grow up thinking the following things are true: reading is boring, there are no good books, I am not a reader. I am trying to STOP that narrative.

There is a ton of research out there with hundreds of ideas and lessons about how to get students to read.

I want to keep it simple: put books in students' hands!

The greater access students have to new, exciting, interesting books, the more likely they are to read them!

I believe EVERY kid can be a reader. They just have to find the right book. Help me give that to them by donating to my classroom library!
