Unfortunately, some kids grow up thinking the following things are true: reading is boring, there are no good books, I am not a reader. I am trying to STOP that narrative. There is a ton of research out there with hundreds of ideas and lessons about how to get students to read. I want to keep it simple: put books in students' hands! The greater access students have to new, exciting, interesting books, the more likely they are to read them! I believe EVERY kid can be a reader. They just have to find the right book. Help me give that to them by donating to my classroom library!
