My Students

A SMART board going to be installed in my classroom any day now - so, I shouldn't be asking for more right? Well, unfortunately, as lucky as I am, some students in my classroom will not be able to use the SMART board because it will be mounted to my wall.

I work with a K-3 classroom for diverse learners.

We have a variety of ages and abilities My students are a wonderful, lively bunch who love learning through the use of technology. We work on reading, writing, math, life skills and social/emotional skills.

My Project

The SMART slate will allow students who use wheelchairs for mobility to utilize the SMART board. Without this piece of technology, the placement of the SMART board wouldn't allow these students access for participation. These students will be able to interact with the SMART board in a similar fashion as the other students.

School for my students is already a challenge yet the importance of learning academic and social awareness skills is so important to everyone: the students, the families and the entire community.

Even though my class is small, potential for learning gains is huge. Please consider donating to my classroom for the SMART Slate!
