As a Special Education resource room teacher, I work with about 30 students ranging from Kindergarten through Sixth grade. Generally, my students have a medical diagnosis such as ADD/ADHD or a Specific Learning Disability in Reading, Writing or Math. Some have developmental disabilities, autism, or emotional behavioral disorders. These students come from diverse backgrounds and some speak languages different than English at their homes. All of my students spend at least half of his/her school day in the general education population.
