My students need a class set of dry erase boards, artist palettes, six pairs of headphones, and other materials so we can get our learning centers started!
My third grade students are hardworking, respectful, and always challenging themselves academically and personally. My students need a better-equipped classroom to improve their learning experiences. They go to a Title 1 school in a low-income/high poverty school district. All of my students are either first-generation students or recent immigrants. 80% of my students receive reduced-lunch and 95% of them are English language learners. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese.
Every student deserves a chance to receive a high- quality education!
My Project
Students will use the dry erase boards to practice spelling, calculate math, and write Chinese characters. The white boards and giant timer can motivate students to be focused. The headphones will improve the learning experience at our audio reading centers (both English and Chinese). This audio center can help my students learn both languages. The other materials will be used to prepare center activities. Students’ work will be displayed in classroom and hallways.
