Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have the hearts the size of Texas! Full of energy, they come from a wide variety of backgrounds; They are from very rich homes to very modest ones, from limited English parents to parents who work at the nearby University. Regardless of their background, all students perform at their best when I am able to make learning fun and engaging! Attending Get Your Teach On's National Conference will help me catapult my instruction to a whole new level! Similar to my students, teachers like me need inspiring professional development to navigate through the many challenges faced by educators.
My Project
Get Your Teach On is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for educators like me. It will give me the opportunity to spend 2 1/2 days learning the tips, tricks, and best practices from some of our countries most recognized and successful educators. Their expertise will empower and inspire me to create dynamic learning experiences for my students. Sessions include lessons on reading, writing, science, STEM, social studies, and integrating technology. Even as a veteran teacher with over twenty years experience, this training will help me grow as an educator and allow me to connect with fellow teachers around the country. I will be able to leave this conference with new strategies that I can share with my school and colleagues.
