This simple tradition has made reading feel personal and special, helping students see books not just as assignments, but as gifts that reflect their individuality and interests. For many of our emergent bilingual students, receiving a book that speaks to them has encouraged them to explore stories in new ways, building confidence and excitement around reading.\r\n\r\nOver time, this celebration has become more than just a birthday gesture, it's a way to nurture a love for books, spark curiosity, and create lasting memories tied to literacy. Students look forward to their turn, and the books they receive often become treasured parts of their growing home libraries. This tradition is helping us grow a classroom culture where every student feels valued, seen, and inspired to keep discovering through reading.","fullyFundedDate":1746785628760,"projectUrl":"project/birthday-books/9319039/","projectTitle":"Birthday Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rosenauer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9421479_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1703650561783","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9421479"},{"teacherId":9421479,"projectId":9192500,"letterContent":"Esperanza Rising has had a powerful impact on our classroom, especially as a community of emergent bilingual students.
