My Project
Students in our STEAM Makerspace Lab have been asking for tools to sew for some of their engineering and design projects.
Sewing teaches math & engineering skills as well as the ability to follow instructions and patterns.
These skills can be applied to many other industries, as well as, the same patterning concepts can be applied to other materials and engineering fields. Additionally, they are great tools for teaching students attention to detail, patience and perseverance.
These materials will be used to sew clothing, make sleeping bags for astronauts in our space unit and so much more. Our learners are ready to put these materials to use!
