This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! As soon as they entered the classroom this year they have been hungry to learn. They have a desire to succeed despite the challenges that they face in and out of the classroom.

All students should have an equal opportunity to achieve and reach their goals. I teach in an ICT classroom where our students are on various levels in both reading and math. My school is a Title I school in which all students receive free lunch and breakfast. We have both general education and special education students in my classroom. My students especially love reading! They ask everyday to go to our classroom library and to meet with their book clubs! These books would be used for our book clubs, where the students will be able to read high interest books and discuss with their peers!
My Project
In our classroom, my students participate in book clubs at their independent reading level. It can be difficult to find books that students are interested in at their reading level! With these small group sets of books, students will be making predictions, asking questions, clarifying tricky words, and summarizing text. They will also be participating in rich discussions with their classmates!

My students would love to meet and fall in love with these characters as well. Many of my students, both with special needs and with out would benefit from these resources.
