My students need two Attaining Equilibrium kits with two refills and four Le Chatelier's kits. These two labs will give them a comprehensive understanding of equilibrium.

My Students
Any normal day in my classroom involves going over the HW, taking notes, and practicing chemistry math problems. That probably gets pretty boring but they never complain...out loud at least. All of my students have a desire to learn from their seats, which is great, but I know that they want more.
This year's honors chemistry students are amazing!
They tolerate all of my detailed notes, conceptual and math problems, and still enter the room smiling. I am very fortunate to be teaching chemistry at this high school because it gives me the chance to truly challenge the students with high level material and they always seem to try their best. Nevertheless, I know that they want to get out of their seats and apply those principles to real life problem solving at the lab stations.
My Project
I have never performed a lab on equilibrium because usually I did not have the resources. In the past, I would teach the material and then test them on it, but I would like to keep the past in the past. With these labs, the students will apply the concepts of a changing temperature, pressure, and concentration in regards to equilibrium. They will be able to visualize and discuss the results in small groups. I am ordering 4 kits of each lab so the honors chemistry students are able to perform the projects in small groups which allows them to communicate and collaborate more effectively with each other.
One of my goals as a honors chemistry teacher is to facilitate the learning of the curriculum so the students will feel more confident and (if they feel like it) will enroll in AP chemistry the following year.
