German School cones for First Graders!

Help me give my students supplies so that they can create "school cones" filled with school supplies for incoming first graders!

My Project

The first day of First Grade in Germany is a huge celebration. On the first day of First Grade, students are given large cones full of school supplies, candy, and small toys. They are called Schultüten.

The German Honor Society at North County HS will make Schultüten for the incoming first graders at a local elementary school.

Students are organizing the project during May and June in order to be ready for the first day of school in August. They will deliver the cones to the school before it starts, so that students can be handed one as they walk into school on the first day!
