My Project

Help me get started off on the right foot with items that will help my students be successful in a room they will enjoy being in!

Each student will have their own notebooks to take notes about the places we will explore, pencils, and a pouch to keep all items in to start off the year.

This will help students be accountable for their supplies as well as not having to worry about purchasing these items or carrying them around. Who doesn't need pencils? I have no idea where they go, but always go through what seems like am million. Having spoken with the principal, there are only two printers that serve the entire school and we all know how printers love to jam. Having printer paper available to quickly print off assignments or things that students are missing will be a key factor for success in the classroom. While computers are an amazing resource, students need to work on their handwriting and have tangible work in their hands.

Having a room that is decorated will hopefully instill a sense of pride, community, and accountability as well as make the students feel comfortable and safe. In my two years of teaching I have noticed that students really enjoy having the bright lights off. LED lights help create a calmer environment. Organization in a room is important to show students how the classroom will flow and how to help be responsible in the upkeep of the room. The paper towels, wipes, hand sanitizer and tissues are a necessity in keeping as many germs away as possible. Please help me provide these items for my students. The items listed have been game changers for the students in my room and have made my room more enjoyable and comfortable for them.
