My Students

Growing up in the inner city, these students are faced with challenges almost daily.

Often times, school work is the last thing on their mind, and they make no apologies for it. Some of them have to worry about taking care of younger siblings, where their next meal is coming from, or whether they have clean and decent clothes to wear to school. Despite all of this, they are meant for greatness. They crave discipline, structure, knowledge, and love, but they don't always know how to go about receiving it. Their means of seeking attention is usually by demonstrating less than desirable behavior, but they still deserve the best I have to offer!

My Project

The flashdrives and motivational lanyards will be part of each student's graduation gift bag. Students will be able to use flashdrives to create digital portfolios while in high school. They can save their BEST work on this flashdrive and submit digital copies with high school and possibly college applications.

I want to keep encouraging them from afar!

These lanyards were chosen because they are inscribed with a motivational message that I hope will inspire students to focus on what's important. I want the lanyard to serve as a reminder that I believe in them and want them to be successful!
