Gather Together: A Space for Every Learner

Help me give my students a larger, comfortable classroom rug so our entire class can gather together for learning, collaboration, and community-building in a space where everyone feels included, supported, and ready to learn. We'd also like a vacuum cleaner and manual carpet sweeper to keep the rug clean.

My Project

I love how eager my students are to learn and how much they enjoy working together. They thrive during whole-group lessons, partner work, and class discussions, and they truly value feeling part of a classroom community. Creating a space where every student feels included and comfortable is so important to their success.

A larger classroom rug (and vacuum to keep it clean) will allow all of my students to gather together at the same time for read-alouds, mini-lessons, and collaborative conversations.

Right now, our space is too small for everyone to sit comfortably, which can make it difficult for students to stay focused and engaged. With a properly sized rug, each student will have a designated spot, helping build a sense of belonging while also supporting better attention and participation.

This project will help create a more organized, welcoming learning environment where students can fully engage, connect with one another, and grow both academically and socially.
