My Students

My class is amazing! I have a wonderful energetic bunch who love to learn. They love it when I read to them. I’ve already read three chapters books so far this year, they are eating it up. They really enjoy discussing books and having conversations about them. We live in a small rural community. Our school is a K - 12 building that houses about 500 students. Our building is in desperate need of some upgrades, but we are happy little school and love our community.

My Project

I have been teaching for 20 years. This summer I decided to revamp my classroom. I put in many hours to freshen everything up in my classroom. I went through every file cabinet, every cupboard, and every tote to give myself a fresh start. The custodians worked hard and gave my room a fresh coat of teal paint. I have decorated with burlap, black and white chalkboard, and have made it a very inviting place. However, my old blue rug no longer seems to fit with the decor, not to mention it’s super old and stained. My kids need a new place to gather around for carpet time, one that is comfortable and plush. I have found the perfect rug that will fit the decor of my room and the needs of my group time. I am asking for help to make my room complete.
