Help me give my students the tools we need to support our composting and gardening efforts. We are requesting buckets with lids for staff and families to enable them to collect veggie scraps to add to our composters.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have two raised vegetable gardens and an herb garden on our school property. We also have four tumbler composters and are learning all about composting, plant rotaion, seasonal harvesting and creatiing farm to table meals in our Enviornmental Science studies.
These requested items will assist us in having staff and families save vegetable scraps for our composters.
In the spring we will delight in rich organic soil for our raised gardens! The gardening skills learned and good nutritional information will help the students maintain good health habits throughout their lives.
